For the purposes of this document, the terms 'marketplace', 'platform', and 'e-commerce' shall be considered interchangeable and refer to Select EV’s digital ecosystem. Furthermore, unless otherwise stated, “Select EV” refers to the initiative owned and operated as part of Gohithaha Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Scope & Consent
The privacy policy applies to all Select EV web pages, mobile apps and services. By using the platform, visitors consent to the collection and use of their information as described in this policy.
A similar structure is used by Select EV; their policy states that users who access their website agree to the terms of the policy and should not proceed if they disagree. Select EV should clearly state that the policy forms part of its terms of use and is governed by Indian data-protection laws.

If a user account is found to be suspicious, fraudulent, or in violation of platform policies, Select EV reserves the right to freeze the account and may delete the associated user data where permitted under applicable laws.
User Access and Control Over Personal Data:
Users may manage their personal data directly through the Select EV application. Users can:
View their personal data stored on the platform
Correct or update their personal information
Request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
Legal and Regulatory Data Retention:
Certain information may be retained even after account deletion where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance purposes.
Information we collect
Personal data provided by users:
This includes name, address, telephone number, email address, and other identifying details users submit when creating accounts, making purchases or contacting support. Select EV’s policy lists similar data points and notes that customers may need to provide financial information to complete transactions.
Correspondence and feedback:
Inform users that emails, chat transcripts, surveys or feedback may be stored. Select EV collects correspondence information and customer feedback data as part of its services.
Payment & transaction information:
When purchasing charging sessions or accessories on the platform, users may be required to provide payment details. All sensitive payment information, including credit or debit card numbers, is securely processed through certified third-party payment gateways. SelectEV ensures that such information is encrypted and transmitted using secure payment processing systems. SelectEV does not store or retain any card or payment details on its platform.

Select EV uses personal data to record and support participation in activities on their platform, personalise the shopping experience and assist with customer service.

Disclosure & sharing
Select EV should commit not to sell or trade personal information. Select EV explicitly states that it does not trade or sell personal information. However, aggregated statistics about platform use may be shared without revealing individual identities. Personal data may be disclosed to government or law-enforcement agencies if required to comply with law or to protect rights and safety. Third-party service providers (e.g., payment gateways or logistics partners) may receive relevant data to fulfil orders, but they must adhere to adequate security standards.
Logistics & Third-Party Data Sharing
To fulfill deliveries, SelectEV shares limited customer information (including name, delivery address, phone number, email ID, and order details) with trusted logistics partners such as Xpressbees. This information is shared strictly for shipping, tracking, and order-completion purposes.
Once data is securely transmitted to the logistics partner, its collection and use are governed by the partner’s own privacy policy and applicable laws. SelectEV is not responsible for how such partners manage or secure information beyond our control.
By placing an order on the SelectEV marketplace, you expressly consent to the transfer of your necessary personal and order details to third-party logistics providers for the purpose of order processing and delivery.
SelectEV does not authorize logistics partners to use customer information for unsolicited marketing or promotional activities. Any such communication, if received, shall be subject to the logistics provider’s independent privacy practices.
Links & third-party sites
The policy should warn users that Select EV may display ads or provide links to other websites and is not responsible for those sites’ privacy practices. Select EV notes that linked sites and advertisers may collect information independently and that their practices are not covered by Select EV’s policy.
Data security
Describe the technical and organisational measures used to protect data (encryption, secure servers, internal controls). Select EV explains that extremely sensitive information like credit-card details is transacted upon secure sites using encryption and that it adopts internal reviews and security measures to guard against unauthorised access. However, it cautions that no internet site can fully eliminate security risks and that Force-Majeure events may lead to data breaches. Select EV should make similar disclosures.
Changes to the policy
State that the privacy policy may be updated occasionally; significant changes will be posted on the website, and continued use signifies acceptance. Select EV mentions that it may preserve communications and disclose data to enforce the policy; similarly, Select EV should maintain records and comply with evolving regulations.
