Return Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Order cancellation (before dispatch) – Customers may cancel an order any time before it is dispatched. Select EV’s cancellation policy allows cancellation before dispatch but notes that once an order is out for delivery, it cannot be cancelled.

Cancellation charges & time window

Charging Sessions (EV Charging Orders)
Cancellations made before the session starts: Full refund of the booking amount will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 working days. If the SelectEV wallet is used, the refund will be credited to the wallet immediately. For guest user payments, refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

Cancellations made after the charging session has started: The amount will be calculated based on the charging usage and applicable session charges. Any remaining balance, if applicable, will be refunded as per the standard refund process.

Accessory / Product Orders
Cancellation after shipment is initiated: Not eligible for cancellation. You may instead raise a return request once the product is delivered, as per the Return Policy.

General Conditions
Select EV reserves the right to deduct applicable payment gateway charges, wallet hold amounts, or promotional discounts from any refunds. Refund timelines depend on the payment provider but are typically completed within 5–7 business days. Any disputes or escalations must be raised through the Select EV Support channel within 48 hours of cancellation.

Seller-initiated cancellation – If a seller cancels an order due to product unavailability or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued for prepaid orders. Select EV should notify the customer promptly and process refunds to the original payment method.

Company-initiated cancellation – Select EV reserves the right to cancel orders in whole or part for reasons such as product unavailability, suspected fraud, violation of terms, logistical constraints or force-majeure events. Select EV’s policy notes that customers will not be charged for such cancellations and that payments will be refunded within 5–7 business days.

Returns & Replacements
Returns are offered by sellers under specified conditions. Select EV’s return policy notes that returns/replacements depend on product categories and the returns window displayed on each product page.

Return Window & Actions: If the product is marked as returnable, customers can request a return within 4 days from the delivery date. Based on eligibility, the available actions may include refund, replacement, or exchange.

Condition for return: Items must be unused and returned with original packaging, accessories, manuals and invoice. Select EV requires products to be intact and accompanied by original accessories and packaging.

Return process: Buyers should initiate a return request within the applicable window by contacting customer support or using the app. Once the seller accepts the return, the buyer must ship the item back; the refund will be processed after the product is received and inspected.

Refund method & timeline: Refunds will be credited to the original payment method (wallet, bank or card) once the return is approved. Select EV notes that refunds are processed within a few days after seller acceptance.

Additional Return Conditions
Certain products sold through the Select EV marketplace are not eligible for return. These include used batteries, installed chargers, opened electrical items, and customized products.

Refund requests may be rejected if the returned product is found to be used, damaged, incomplete, or not returned with its original packaging, accessories, manuals, and invoice.

If a refund is credited to the SelectEV Wallet, the amount cannot be withdrawn to a bank account and can only be used for transactions within the Select EV platform.

For approved product returns, the return shipping charges will be borne by the seller unless otherwise specified on the product listing.

Return Policy Misuse & Legal Action
Select EV maintains a strict policy against fraudulent or abusive use of the return process. Any misuse of the return policy may result in legal action.

Users who intentionally submit false return requests, return used or damaged products fraudulently, or attempt to manipulate the refund process may face legal proceedings under applicable laws including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Cheating & Criminal Breach of Trust), Section 66D of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and other applicable cyber fraud and electronic evidence laws.

Customers found misusing the return policy may also be held civilly liable for any financial losses, damages, operational costs, or legal expenses incurred as a result of such misuse.

All disputes or legal proceedings arising from return policy misuse shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rajahmundry, India.

Disputes & Buyer Protection
If the seller disagrees with a return request, the buyer may raise a dispute through Select EV’s support. Select EV allows buyers to file disputes under its Buyer Protection Program when a seller rejects a return. Select EV should offer a mediation mechanism and final decision authority.
